Sam Mercury

I know where I'm going, and I know the truth.

About me image
Hey there! I'm Sam, and this is my website! Here, I like to show off my work, and talk about my life as an emerging artist, playwright, writer, and overall creative person! I'm a 6' tall drink of water with a big personality and nowhere to put it-so I'm spilling it out on the internet for the whole world to soak up and love!

My motto is "I want to spend the rest of my life telling stories that others may have overlooked or underestimated." Whether it's the newest dramedy, or the latest reality TV sensation, you can find me rooting for the underdog whose name everybody forgets, or the person you look at and go "they'll never make it. This world is going to swallow them whole.

My two biggest focuses right now are Chill Spot, a small but mighty production company that my partner Cameron and I are building from the ground up, and "mixed(er)," a hilarious new farce written by myself and my writing partner Alten Wilmot based on our experiences growing up biracial in Kitchener-Waterloo, and the struggle to balance growing up in two very different worlds. As well as being a professional showcase for my work, I want to document my experience with both of these monstrous undertakings, in order to give an in-depth look at the hard work it is being an emerging artist, and trying to establish yourself in the arts industry.

I hope you enjoy this website, and getting to know me and my art better! If you ever want to know more, feel free to reach out via e-mail or social media. Bonne journée!
