"Play This:" Ottawa Street and Concession Street
Part tour, part play, part scavenger hunt, PLAY THIS is an invitation to explore Hamilton through a series of site-specific audio dramas. Each iteration is found in a collision of storytelling, history, place, and immersive theatre.
I was so stoked when my friend Robert Motum asked me to be a part of this important project highlighting the contributions women and people of colour have made to make Hamilton the city that it is today-specifically to the textile industry and what is now known as "Little Africa." This was one of those projects that made me a student of the subject matter, and that influenced my performance for the better.
