Vagina Monologues 2018
A benefit performance of The Vagina Monologues at Kitchener City Hall, Council Chambers in honour of V-Day; a global activist movement to end violence against women and girls* started by author, playwright and activist Eve Ensler.
Performing a monologue called "My Short Skirt" in city council chambers where decisions about what happens to me and my short skirt get made was nothing short of empowering. Also-not all the performers in that show were career actors. They were business owners, grassroots activists, yoga instructors, teachers...people from all walks of life. It was an honour to spread the message of The Vagina Monologues with such a badass collective of women and gender non-conforming people.
